Looking For A Teen Overnight Camp

The teenage years are kind of hard. My oldest daughter is 15 and is in between being old enough to get a summer job and being able to go to camp locally. She is so bored this summer all she does is sit and watch TV. I have asked her if she would be interested in going to a Teen Overnight Camp for a few weeks. To my surprise she said that she was so bored that anything must be better then sitting around with nothing to do. Basically, she said she would go to a Teen Overnight Camp.

When it comes to teenagers they need to feel like they belong and that they have something to contribute. I found a number of online sites for Teen Overnight Camps that offered themes and specific activities that teens would enjoy. There was a Teen Overnight Camp for dancers and ones for soccer, skateboarding, weight loss, languages, academics, all sorts of different choices. My daughter loves to play soccer so that Teen Overnight Camp was the one that we chose.

She would be attending this camp in the mountains of North Carolina and during the two weeks she will be learning how to perfect her soccer playing skills as well as team building and coaching the less experienced players. For my daughter this Teen Overnight Camp seemed perfect and if for some reason she was not happy it would only be a few hours to go and get her. I learned a lot from looking into Teen Overnight Camps. They are generally more focused on self esteem for teens and leadership skills. Learning how to live in a group setting and work well with others.

I like the idea of a Teen Overnight Camp because my daughter will be able to go to this camp and it will be all for her. she will not have to share it with her little sisters. If she enjoys it she can go again and again, year after year. Maybe she could even become a counsellor there someday. The Teen Overnight Camp we chose is a co-ed camp and I like that too. It will give her the opportunity to play soccer with boys and girls. She is a bit nervous about the boys being there but her old day camp was co-ed so it is no different.

Giving her an opportunity to attend a Teen Overnight Camp means the world to us. The teen years are very uncertain and having a camp that will help you to feel like you belong and fit in will be just great for our daughter.
