Summer Camps In Mississauga, Ontario

I did an internet search to see how much information I could get on Summer Camps in Mississauga. We were new to this part of Canada and with the summer fast approaching I wanted to be prepared with things for the kids to do. I learned that there are a ton of Summer Camps in Mississauga. All different types of camps with all different programs. It became clear to me that we would need to decide what we were looking for as a family before deciding on which of the Summer Camps in Mississauga we were going to look at.

My kids all focused on the sports themed camps right away and they wanted them to be sleep away. What I can say about that is...you do not have to twist my arm when it comes to sleep away camp! I was very surprised to find so many different types of Summer Camps in Mississauga. There are sports camps, outdoor camps, art camps, and the list just goes on. This part of the countryside is truly beautiful and that is probably a big part of the reason that there are so many camps in the area.

Even at the sports camp I found that it offered a well rounded program. It was not all about sports but it also included the full camp experience. I looked at all sorts of Summer Camps in Mississauga and got the feeling from all of them that the camps try to build leadership skills, survival skills, good sportsmanship, living in a group setting, were all important aspects of the camps' philosophies. For me, I feel that that is the most important part of going to any camp. Learning new things and building character are very important and they go hand in hand with one another.

When we signed up for the sports camp i was pleased to see that we had a choice of sports as well as a range of ability levels available. The last thing I would want is for my sons to get hurt and have to come home early. My kids love sports, all different kinds, but they can play rough. I like that camp also because it did not focus totally on the competitive aspects of sports but more on the camaraderie involved in playing on a team. Overall, we were all impressed with the Summer Camps in Mississauga and all they had to offer.

If all goes well this summer we will be back for more Summer Camps in Mississauga next year. I am looking forward to the kids having great camp experiences this summer and learning a lot.
