Chosing Bayview Glen Day Camp

Having only lived in the Toronto area for a short time I really had no idea what to do with my girls over summer break. They are different ages and have very different interests. I have a dancer, and actor, and a daughter that lives sports. A teacher at the school recommended that I look into Bayview Glen Day Camp. She told me that the camp has been in business since the early 1960's and how it has a fantastic reputation. She has sent her kids there for years.

I checked out the Bayview Glen Day Camp website and I have to say that I was very impressed. The camp children range in age from one to fifteen. They offer Red Cross swimming, dance theater arts, sports, and the list goes on and on. The children can focus their camp experience around their individual areas of interest. I also love the fact that this camp has girls up to fifteen years old. My oldest daughter has not been to cam in a few years because many of the ones we have attended before end the age group at ten or eleven.

The Bayview Glen Day Camp offers door to door pick up and drop off which makes my life a whole lot easier. As far as their sports programs and outdoor activities they have a ton of options available. From rock climbing to swimming the children will get plenty of fun and exercise. They have different ages that they group together to create different levels. There is a senior level from six to thirteen where the option for overnights becomes available.

The camp has a Bayview Glen Day Camp (BVG) sports camp option and now they are offering a Bayview Glen Day Camp (BVG) arts camp option. This will work really well for my girls and all of their varied interests. I like knowing that they will spend their time doing the things that they love and not just doing mindless activities at a glorified babysitting service. Camp is for learning and for fun and the BayView Glen Day Camp seems to really understand that.

My teenager loves sports and the Bayview Glen Day Camp will allow her to enjoy volleyball and basketball and those are two of her favorites. Knowing that all of my girls will be at the Bayview Glen Day Camp together also makes me feel good. I am really excited for this summer break.
